Hello my name is Diane Shane-Stone. 

Welcome to SSFitness

 

I am based in Northumberland and have worked in sport and fitness for over 30 years. 

It all began at school... Obsessed with sport, in particular gymnastics and trampolining, I began coaching. This formed the platform that fuelled my passion for health and fitness. 

 

Over the years I have trained and competed in many sports including distance running, triathlon, boxing, football, hockey and netball. This has given me an extensive knowledge and experience in sport specific training. 

 

After graduating from university I progressed in to working with special populations. These are clients who have been referred for exercise by a health professional such as a GP, Physiotherapist or Hospital referral. I have continued to develop in this area over the past 25 years. 

 

I have worked with a variety of people within group exercise and 1 to 1 training. I often draw upon my knowledge and experience when training clients. However, my thirst for knowledge drives me to continuously learn and develop and I have completed my Masters degree in Nutritional Science. Ultimately I always seek to better myself and the service I give to others.

My firm belief is that anyone can benefit from exercise or activity at any age, regardless of physical or psychological condition.
